What "platform" actually means

A note on terminology. MOPOD is infrastructure for accommodation — not a product, not a model range, not a lifestyle.

We use the word platform deliberately. A platform is a standard interface that other things plug into. Rails. Ports. APIs. Shipping containers.

MOPOD is the same idea applied to mobile accommodation. The POD is a standard unit. The vehicle is one possible host. The placement site is another. The operator is the third. Each can change independently without breaking the others.

That is what unlocks the roadmap: static deployments, fleet operations, modular interiors, third-party integrations. None of it works if the unit is welded to a single van.
